I began my education in the arts, at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly MA, where I majored in fine arts. After volunteering at Hasboro Childrens Hospital for RISD on Rounds I realized that teaching art to children was extremely fulfilling to me. I then attended RIC and obtained my Bachelors Degree in Art Education. I have been teaching art in the city of Providence for over 15 years, and I am currently showing my paintings at Gallery Z in Providence..

Growing up, my family spent all of our vacations in Italy visiting my grandfather. This exposure as a child to extraordinary works of art, as well as another culture, inspired me to become an artist. As an artist, I have always been interested in creating a sense of luminosity in my work. I have done many portraits, and murals over the years, but I have found, that painting in an abstract style is much more interesting to me.

As a teacher, it is my goal that all of my students have a positive experience in the art room, and walk away feeling confident in their ability to understand and evaluate works of art.
